dr inż. Janusz Mazurek

CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL OF EXPERTS - graduate of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, where he earned a PhD in Agricultural Sciences, specialising in plant protection. Member of Polish Phytopathological Society, Polish Society of Horticultural Sciences and Landscape Architecture Association. He is a certified Green Areas Supervisor. He has worked for the State Plant Protection Inspection and the Botanical Garden of Wrocław University. For many years he has been running his own business as an advisor on horticultural plant protection and fertilization. As part of this activity he advised in many horticultural farms as well as cooperated with such companies as Bayer Crop Science and BelchimCropProtection. He is the author of scientific publications and numerous popular science articles as well as expert opinions and reports on plant health. He has been an academic lecturer for many years. He conducts classes at postgraduate studies in the field of vine protection and fertilization at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Zielona Góra University and Podkarpacka Academy of Wine. He wrote a book on grapevine protection himself and is co-author of the books "Winorośl i Wino. Wiedza i praktyka" [Vines and Wine] and "Prevention of diseases of urban trees - recommendations for bioassurance.

Graduate of the Wrocław Agricultural University (now Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences). She works at the Department of Phytopathology and Mycology of the Faculty of Plant Protection of this university. Since 2007 she has been the head of the department. Since 2021, she is also responsible for conducting innovative research in the field of mycology and plant protection in the newly established Plant Disease Diagnostic Centre at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. She is the author or co-author of many patents, expert opinions and scientific publications. She is an organiser of national and international scientific conferences. For many years, she was the chairperson of the Wroclaw Branch of the Polish Phytopathological Society, and in the years 2005-2011 she held the position of vice-chairperson of this scientific society. Her professional interests focus on pro-ecological issues related to the protection of cereals, oilseed rape and root crops. She also has experience in the diagnosis of turfgrasses and plant diseases occurring in urban areas. As a mycologist, she deals with biosecurity and research related to seed health..


Graduate of the Agricultural University in Poznań (now Poznan University of Agriculture) and Postgraduate Studies "Integrated Technologies of Plant Production". He completed scientific internships in Great Britain and Germany. In 2005-2019 he worked at the Institute of Plant Protection - National Research Institute in Poznań, where he was awarded a doctoral degree in agronomy. He worked at the Entomology Department, Plant Protection Products Research Department and managed the Agrochemicals Registration Research Centre. In his professional work, he dealt with entomology, protection of field crops against pest insects and protection of beneficial insects, in particular apidofauna, and research on effectiveness of zoocides. He participated in national and international scientific conferences where he presented the results of his research. He is a member of the Polish Society of Agronomy and the Polish Society for Plant Protection. He is the author and co-author of many scientific publications and review papers, popular science articles, implementation studies, atlases, books, expert opinions and opinions. He is a lecturer at postgraduate studies organised by universities and scientific institutes. Cooperating with agricultural consultancy, associations of agricultural producers, phytopharmaceutical and distribution companies, he has conducted training and consultancy activities. He is a specialist in applied entomology, general plant protection and integrated plant protection.

Ewa Kaniowicz

A graduate of biotechnology at the University of Wrocław, currently specialising in industrial microbiology. Not only a theoretician, but above all a practitioner. For many years associated with BIO-GEN company, focused on effective search for innovative and environmentally safe solutions in the field of agricultural, veterinary and biological sciences. While performing her duties, she focuses not only on the company's interest, but above all, on the respect for another person. She values honesty, commitment, willingness to help each other, caring for friendly relations and tolerance.

Dr Aneta Chałańska, NEFscience

From the very beginning she has been involved in the protection of horticultural plants. Her professional career began in the Szczepan Pieniążek Institute of Pomology and Floriculture in Skierniewice, in the Department of Ornamental Plant Protection. In the later established Institute of Horticulture she was awarded with her Ph.D. degree in agricultural sciences, and in the Department of Vegetable and Ornamental Plant Protection she held the position of Head of the Nematology Laboratory. She is the author of many publications and a recognised specialist in research on plant parasitic nematodes. She deals with plant diseases associated with nematode feeding. He uses his 20 years of experience as a research worker for practice. Since 2018 he runs NEFscience, where diagnostic and research work at the borderline of nematology, entomology and phytopathology is carried out.

Maciej Bromirski - plant doctor.

A graduate of the Forest Technical School in Tuchola and the Agricultural University in Bydgoszcz, Faculty of Agriculture, specialising in plant protection. He wrote master's thesis in the Department of Entomology under the supervision of Prof. Aleksandra Błażejewska. For many years Head of the Voivodeship Laboratory of PIORiN [State Inspection for Plant Protection and Seed Inspection ]in Gdańsk. Member of the Polish Phytopathological Association. Specialist in not only macroscopic evaluation of bacteriology, virology, phytopathology and especially in his favourite field which is entomology. Hobbyist focused on the assessment of phytosanitary risks of ornamental plants in urban, park and garden plantings with particular emphasis on biological protection.


He is an assistant professor employed at the Department of Horticulture, University of Life Sciences in Wrocław. Scientifically, he deals with cultivation and fertilization of horticultural plants. His research activity is focused on fertilizers, plant nutrition, the influence of fertilization on yield quantity and quality, fertigation, nutrients, substrates, technologies of cultivation under covers, hydroponics. In particular, he conducts research on soilless gardening technologies and gardening substrates. Author of 35 scientific papers and participant of many research projects such as: "''Biocarbon as an innovative substrate for cultivation '', ''Use of unmanned aerial objects for plant health monitoring '', H2020 ''Introduction of best practices for soil health in Europe '' (BEST4SOIL), IQ Grape. Lecturer at the Faculty of Life Sciences and Technology. He teaches students of Horticulture, Agriculture, Economics and Environmental Protection. Within the Erasmus programme, he gave lectures at universities in Portugal, Georgia, Czech Republic and Ukraine. At the invitation of the Polish Embassy in North Korea, he conducted training in greenhouse vegetable growing. I am the author of numerous popular science publications and several books for horticultural producers (Horticultural substrates, Fertilizers and plant growth improving agents, Guidebook on fertilizing field vegetables). As part of his teaching activity he lectures on subjects related to fertilization and plant nutrition, soilless crops, horticultural cultivation technologies, horticultural substrates. He is also a lecturer on postgraduate courses in organic gardening and winemaking.


Experienced in the sports greenery sector (sports fields, golf courses) and urban green areas with a consultancy, procurement and service character. He has expertise in construction and maintenance of natural sports turf within the scope of standards and recommendations applicable on the Polish market, i.e. USGA recommendations, STRI, DIN18035. He graduated from the Academy of Agriculture and Technology in Olsztyn (now UWM Olsztyn), Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Management, specialising in Plant Protection, and subsequently gained experience in the course of his professional career and various organisations: Since 2012 he has been providing consultancy and services (agronomy, consultancy, advisory and agrotechnical supervision) under the name MurawaPLUS Piotr Janusz in the sports greenery sector including: National Stadium in Warsaw turf installation May-June 2018, turf replacement: OSiR Olsztyn, GCS Gdynia, MORiS Chorzów. Agrotechnical consultation: GOS Gdańsk, MOSiR Łomża, Legia Warszawa, (assessment of pitch performance). Agrotechnical supervision over investments in sports fields (construction of new facilities, replacement of turf). Agrotechnical supervision for the Polish Football Association regarding the preparation of football pitches for the Euro U21 championship tournament in 2017. From 2019 an expert witness for the District Court in Wrocław. Vice President of SITR Olsztyn branch [Association of Agricultural Scientific and Technical Engineers ]with expert qualifications in the field of: Agricultural Chemistry and Plant Protection and Production and Plant Breeding. In the years 2008 - 2012 head of the sports and communal greenkeeping segment (Poland and the Baltic States) in fertilizer companies Scotts, Intermag. Secretary of the Polish Greenkeepers Association, present on the PSG Board since 2004, he served as its President from 2008 to 2016. Between 2001 and 2008 he worked as HeadGreenkeeper of the Mazury Golf & Country Club facility.


She prepared her master's thesis and doctoral dissertation (in biological sciences) at the University of Wrocław under the supervision of Prof. Jadwiga Anioł-Kwiatkowska and Prof. Jerzy Hrynkiewicz-Sudnik. Her Ph.D. dissertation topic covered the issues of designing urban greenery - mainly historical greenery assumptions (parks), as well as care of high greenery in the context of protection of natural and cultural values. Since 2001 Assistant Professor at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, in teaching activities related to the field of landscape architecture. In her research and professional work, the leading subject became applied dendrology - especially in problematic issues concerning the use of trees in the environment and urban space (urban composition). Special attention was given to the study of historic greenery in Wroclaw (editor of the Lexicon of Greenery of Wroclaw), as well as the issue of "conscious" planning and design of biologically active areas. She developed her interest in the subject of landscape design by completing postgraduate studies at the Wrocław University of Technology in the fields of: Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning and Spatial Planning. An important part of the achievements are methodological studies of an applied character, related to the creation of planning and design tools thematically related to the development of green infrastructure in relation to different scales, i.e. Standards of developing high greenery along city communication routes, 2010; Spatial structure of greenery as an element of developing city climate, 2010; Inventory of green areas developed by man for the needs of Study of Conditions and Directions of Spatial Development of the City of Wrocław, 2013; Standards for planning and designing streets within the scope of green-blue infrastructure, 2020; Standards for designing, implementing, developing and protecting greenery around bicycle routes, 2020. Her professional achievements includes numerous dendrological surveys, expert opinions, concepts and functional-utility programmes for the development of green areas, as well as records of historical park assumptions - carried out in cooperation with specialists in the history of art. Member of the Polish Dendrological Society. From 2019 appointed by the Mayor of Wroclaw to the City Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture.
